The Athletics Human Performance Center at Texas Christian University is a 65,000-square-foot facility designed to support all 515 student-athletes across TCU’s 22 varsity sports. The $50 million project includes 30,000 square feet of new construction and 20,000 square feet of renovations to the existing Bob Lilly Performance Center. Key features include the Football Performance Center with strength and conditioning zones, film rooms, and recruiting spaces, and the Simpson Family Restoration & Wellness Center, which offers hydrotherapy, cryo and heat lounges, red-light therapy, and the nation’s first collegiate snow room. Fully donor-funded, the facility reflects a long-term investment in athlete performance, wellness, and recruitment—and reinforces TCU’s legacy of excellence in collegiate athletics.
The Projects Group served as Owner’s Representative from design through construction, overseeing capital budgets, schedule audits, consultant coordination, and quality control. Our team led efforts to resolve outstanding envelope deficiencies, establish proactive team communication, and ensure accountability across disciplines. When construction issues arose, we facilitated root-cause analysis and guided the resolution process to completion. Delivered with zero open items, the facility integrates high-performance systems, donor vision, and institutional priorities into a transformative project for TCU Athletics.
