The Baker Martin Family Garden is a transformative two-acre addition to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, designed to immerse children and families in interactive, nature-based experiences. As the first major expansion of the garden in nearly two decades, the new space is a key component of the Botanic Garden's 20-year master plan. The garden is envisioned as a “garden of yes,” offering eleven themed gallery spaces, a 150-foot limestone-lined creek, native habitats, and engaging sensory exhibits—like planetary-themed zones with misters, musical elements, and open play lawns. Anchored by the Discovery Center, a year-round, LEED-certified education facility, the garden aims to foster lifelong connections to nature through exploration, learning, and play.
The Projects Group is serving as Owner’s Representative for the Baker Martin Family Garden, supporting the City of Fort Worth and the Fort Worth Botanic Garden in bringing this dynamic space to life. Our role includes overseeing design coordination, managing project schedules and budgets, supporting public funding and grant alignment, and ensuring stakeholder priorities are reflected throughout the planning and construction process. We work closely with Terra Design Studios and other project partners to ensure the garden delivers on its mission of education, accessibility, and community engagement—building a place where nature, creativity, and learning flourish together.
