Joyce hanlon
Project Manager
Joyce Hanlon brings over a decade of experience leading the design and delivery of large-scale civic and cultural projects across the country. With a background in architecture and a passion for public-serving spaces, Joyce has helped shape complex institutions including children’s museums, libraries, performance venues, and educational centers. Her approach blends strong design leadership with deep technical fluency—ensuring that client goals, budgetary constraints, and interdisciplinary requirements stay in sync from early programming through construction completion.
Prior to joining The Projects Group, Joyce served as a project lead at Snøhetta, where she oversaw the delivery of several high-profile projects, including La Nube – the El Paso Children’s Museum, Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library, and multiple New York City Public Library branches. Her project portfolio includes managing up to 75,000 square feet of interior fit-outs, coordinating sustainability goals such as Living Building Challenge certification, and achieving millions in cost savings through strategic value engineering—all while maintaining the integrity of design.
Joyce is known for her ability to coordinate across architecture, engineering, and exhibit teams, and for her talent in translating stakeholder needs into actionable, integrated solutions. She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati. Joyce is based in our New York City office, where she continues to support mission-driven institutions through thoughtful, technically rigorous project management.
