Sundance Square Plaza is the vibrant centerpiece of downtown Fort Worth, transforming two surface parking lots into a lively public space that has become the city’s living room. Spanning 55,000 square feet, the plaza was designed for flexibility, seamlessly supporting concerts, festivals, movie nights, community celebrations, and everyday downtown activity. A permanent stage, dynamic fountains, operable shade umbrellas, and a modern pavilion create an environment that is both playful and purposeful—welcoming at all hours and in all seasons. With its combination of interactive features, movable seating, and sustainable landscaping, the plaza has become a nationally recognized model for placemaking, civic engagement, and urban pride.

The Projects Group served as Owner’s Representative throughout the planning and execution of Sundance Square Plaza, helping coordinate across architecture, landscape design, engineering, and construction to bring the vision to life. Acting as a central point of communication between stakeholders, TPG ensured the project moved forward on time and within budget while maintaining the high design standards set by David M. Schwarz Architects and Michael Vergason Landscape Architects. From managing site logistics in a dense urban environment to navigating city approvals and infrastructure upgrades, our team helped deliver a resilient, adaptable, and enduring public space that now serves as a cultural anchor for the city.
