As part of a broader initiative to strengthen the performing and visual arts on campus, Texas Christian University developed a new School of Music and concert hall to serve as a central hub for performance, education, and community engagement. The project anchors the university’s Arts Precinct Plan and includes a 700-seat concert hall, ensemble rehearsal rooms, classrooms, faculty studios, and flexible collaboration spaces designed to foster creativity and cross-disciplinary learning. The building’s form and landscape seamlessly integrate with the campus and create new outdoor gathering spaces that support student life and performance spillover.
TPG served as Owner’s Representative from early planning through completion. Our scope included managing the Design Architect selection process, validating the program, and providing focused oversight of acoustical, theatrical, and performance systems. We worked closely with university leadership and design consultants to ensure the facility met the highest standards for sound quality, flexibility, and user experience—ultimately helping TCU deliver a landmark space for music education and performance.
