Alfred Walker brings over 43 years of expertise in facilities management and a deep understanding of museum operations and cultural institutions. His career includes extensive experience at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, where he managed multi-million-dollar projects such as central plant upgrades and major museum gallery renovations in 1999 and 2019. In addition to managing staff and coordinating with outside contractors, Alfred has developed a strong specialization in art preservation lighting systems.

At TPG, Alfred spearheads the firm’s facilities conditions assessment studies, leveraging his vast experience to help clients identify and address critical infrastructure needs in their cultural and civic spaces. He has served as Project Executive for transformative initiatives such as the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens Facilities Report, leading efforts to improve the sustainability and functionality of this iconic space. Additionally, Alfred is contributing to the development of Transform 1012: The Fred Rouse Center for Arts and Community Healing, a groundbreaking project repurposing a historic site into a multi-use performing arts and community center. His expertise also spans high-profile institutions such as the Ellen Noel Art Museum, the Nasher Sculpture Center, and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, further showcasing his ability to manage complex and impactful projects.

Recognizing the need for collaboration among cultural institutions, Alfred founded the Museum Facilities Council of Fort Worth in 1997. This group, which remains active today, connects facilities managers from museums, event centers, and other cultural organizations to share best practices and address common challenges. With a commitment to excellence in cultural and institutional project delivery, Alfred continues to bring his wealth of knowledge and collaborative spirit to TPG’s work.
