Senior Project Manager

Leah Gilbert is a seasoned Project Manager with over a decade of experience delivering complex, multi-phased projects for nonprofit institutions across Texas. Since joining The Projects Group in 2013, she has led over $250 million in projects, specializing in botanical gardens, zoos, museums, and cultural destinations that prioritize community impact, accessibility, and long-term value.


With a background in Project Management and technical sciences, Leah brings a deep understanding of the full project lifecycle—from procurement and design through construction and closeout. Her expertise spans team leadership, capital budgeting, pre-construction services, and schedule management. Known for her clear and direct communication style, Leah is adept at keeping teams aligned and projects on track.


Notable projects under Leah’s leadership include multiple phases of the Fort Worth Zoo’s “A Wilder Vision” campaign, the Jane & John Justin Foundation OMNI Theater renovation at the Fort Worth Museum of Science & History, and extensive work at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, including their overally Masterplan, Oval Rose Garden, Rose Garden Historical Remodel, and the Baker Martin Family Garden.


Leah holds a Master of Project Management from Keller Graduate School and a Bachelor of Technical Science in Project Management from DeVry University. She is based in Fort Worth and is an active member of CREW Fort Worth.
